A Bristol-based manufacturing and engineering enterprise has expanded with its second acquisition of an industrial part firm throughout the previous six months.
Avon Group, primarily based on South Liberty Lane in Bedminster, has acquired gasket producer Scandura after including Gloucestershire firm Edgewest Plastics to the group in October.
Scandura, primarily based in Corby, Northamptonshire, specialises in supplying specialist gaskets and industrial rubber merchandise to a variety of business sectors together with automotive, white items manufacturing, petrochemicals and aerospace.
Edgewest Plastics, primarily based in Malvern View Enterprise park in Bishop’s Cleeve, north of Cheltenham, provides plastic-moulded elements to a few of the UK’s largest producers of plumbing and toilet merchandise.
Avon Group will retain the staff, tools and premises of each companies, which can proceed to function autonomously as a part of the group.
